Terms of Service

Last updated: October 21, 2026

These terms govern your use of okowil.com and the training and online courses provided by Okowil Solutions Inc.

Training and education

Our courses and training provide education. They are not legal, financial, immigration or employment-agency advice, and results such as certifications or jobs are not guaranteed. Outcomes depend on many factors, including your own effort.

Payments

Prices are shown in Canadian dollars at checkout or in your quote. Online courses are paid at checkout by card through Stripe or through PayPal, and each course includes 12 months of access from the day you enrol. Applicable GST/HST is added at checkout based on your billing address.

Refunds

Courses can be refunded within 7 days of purchase if no more than 2 lessons have been opened. Cohort training can be refunded up to 7 days before each cohort starts. The full details are in the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Intellectual property

Website content and course and training materials belong to Okowil Solutions Inc. and are for your personal use only.

Online courses: access period

Each course is sold for a one-time fee that gives you access to that course for 12 months from the day you are enrolled. Access is for you alone and may not be shared. It does not renew automatically. When the 12 months end, your access to the lessons and quizzes stops; to continue, you can purchase the course again at the price shown at that time.

Online courses: scripts, commands and technical guidance

Educational purpose. All scripts, commands, code samples and configuration examples in our courses are provided for learning. They are general examples and are not tailored to your systems, licences or security requirements.

No warranty. This material is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. Vendor products change, and examples may become outdated.

Your responsibility. Before running any script or command, you are responsible for understanding what it does, testing it in a non-production environment, confirming you have current backups and a rollback plan, and obtaining any approval your organization requires. You run scripts and commands in a production environment entirely at your own risk.

Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Okowil Solutions Inc. is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of course material, including data loss, downtime, security incidents or loss of revenue.

Not professional advice. Course content is not a substitute for professional advice specific to your environment. Bring questions about your own environment to a live session.

Microsoft Premium Training (cohort training)

Structure. The training runs as two cohorts: Cohort 1 (Identity and Endpoint) and Cohort 2 (Microsoft 365 and Security). Each cohort meets live online, once a week on Saturdays, on the dates shown when you register. You can register for one cohort or for both.

Tiers. A single cohort is sold at one price. The Standard, Premium and Career Track tiers apply only when you register for both cohorts; the extras in each tier are described on the training page.

Schedule changes. We may move a session to another date if we have to, with as much notice as possible, and will offer a recording or a make-up session. If we cancel a cohort, everyone enrolled gets a full refund for it.

Attendance. Missed sessions are not refunded or repeated. Where a recording is available, you can use it to catch up.

Lab environments. You practise in your own lab, using Microsoft trial or developer subscriptions that you sign up for in week 2. You are responsible for your lab accounts: keep them separate from any employer or production environment, and cancel any trial before it turns into a paid subscription. We are not responsible for charges from Microsoft or any other provider.

Certificate. If you complete the required labs and project, you receive a certificate of completion from Okowil Solutions Inc. This is not a Microsoft certification. The training does not guarantee that you will pass a certification exam or get a job.

Trademarks. Microsoft, Active Directory, Entra, Intune, Exchange, SharePoint, Defender and Sentinel are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies. This training is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Microsoft. Okowil Solutions Inc. is a private business and its courses are not affiliated with, sponsored, approved or endorsed by the Government of Canada.

Payments for cohort training

  • A single cohort is paid in full before the cohort starts.
  • When you register for both cohorts, you can pay in full or in three monthly instalments. The first instalment is due before Cohort 1 starts, and the others follow one month and two months later.
  • Paying in instalments costs a little more in total than paying in full. You are committing to the full bundle price.
  • If an instalment is more than 14 days late after we remind you, we may pause your access to live sessions and course material until it is paid.
  • Refunds for cohort training follow the Refund Policy.

Alumni community

Training graduates may be given access to the alumni community. Access is a benefit we provide, not part of the price, and we may change or close the community.

  • Be respectful. No harassment, discrimination, spam or selling.
  • Do not post anything confidential, including passwords, customer data or details of your employer’s systems.
  • Do not share access or copy other members’ posts outside the community.
  • We may remove posts, or suspend or end someone’s access, if these rules are broken.

Course and training material, recordings and lab guides are for your own learning. You may not record live sessions, or share or resell the material, without our written permission.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Okowil Solutions Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website or services.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
